Kaz, have we considered buying crypto? Crypto? Do you mean "cryptocurrency"? Yes. It seems like a logical solution for soldiers without a nation like us. And its value seems to be constantly rising. It's a good way to fund our operations. I think that's a bad idea, Snake. Hmh. Why so?
The value of cryptocurrency isn't tied to the gold standard, or any standard at all. Just its users' belief in its value. That makes it unreliable. That's the same as the dollar. The gold standard was abandoned by the US in 1971. That's not true. Even if it's untethered from gold, fiat currency is still backed by something real: The authority of the sovereign state. As you know Snake, the power of nation states is derived from their monopoly on violence, and their ability to dictate its legitimacy. That's what we're challenging. But their power also lies in government control over the economy through the printing of money. You could say that the dollar's value is direct evidence of a collective faith in the stability of the US government. And that faith operates vice versa. An alternative global currency would undermine America's control pver finance. I don't know whether that was the original intent of cryptocurrency, but they're , rapidly approaching a moment of confrontation. So crypto is picking a fight with Uncle Sam, huh? And you think it's destined to lose.
It goes beyond that, Snake. Because the value of cryptocurrency can be used as a tool to measure the populace's desire for decentralization, it's likely already been targeted by a group known for their affinity with money and control. ...The Patriots. We can already see their fingerprints in the crypto marketplace. The use of dog memes to fuel a war between Dogecoin and Shiba Inu is a textbook example of Patriot influence. Memetic eugenics. Exactly. Much like the way nuclear tensions were leveraged to consolidate power in the military-industrial complexes of both the USSR and America during the Cold War, a Doge versus Shiba crypto war amplifies the footprint of both currencies, sending their value "to the moon." And the Patriots stand to profit? More than that. This is just a theory, but it's possible that a good percentage of the coins on the market right now have a "digital backdoor" that allows The Patriots to trace their data. Traders that think they are circumventing government control would actually be welcoming it to their doorstep. So we'd be painting a target on our backs, huh? I guess we should give up on any quick crypto investment schemes then. Not necessarily. There's another way. Instead of buying into a coin, we could create our own crypto currency. Money that is truly unbound from nation states, and backed by our own legitimacy of violence: the power of Militaires Sans Frontières! ...You mean...! Yes.
